You say soda, I say pop. No matter what you say, Americans’ top source of calorie consumption is soda. Below, we break down America’s favorite sodas by calorie count and give you some ideas on how to make up for those unwanted sugary soda calories.
All conversions are based on a 2,000 steps/mile average for a person weighing 150lbs.
The first soda to travel to space: Coca-Cola. It takes 3,275 steps to burn off the 140 calories in a can of Coke.
Pepsi was originally named Brad’s Drink after creator, Caleb Bradham. One of the benefits of drinking Pepsi was curing dyspepsia, or a stomach ache. With over 17 varieties worldwide, there is a Sprite out there that will quench your thirst. Depending on where you live, you could pick anything from cucumber to tropical flavors. 4,492 steps will burn off the 192 calories in a 12 ounce can of Sprite.
