Intense physical training is required to prepare climbers for the dangerous and deadly ascent to the world's tallest peak. To gain the necessary endurance, aspiring climbers must build extreme-altitude tolerance by undergoing cardio and strength training at higher-than-normal elevations. It's recommended climbers train with a 50-60 pound pack to simulate the gear carried up the mountain. Training guides also suggest climbers extensively practice mountaineering on other peaks, attempting a 20,000 ft ascent multiple times before pursuing Everest's staggering 29,035 ft summit. Endurance is key in this game, as muscles and body fat will begin to breakdown at high altitudes, creating a perfect storm of mental and physical adversity.*
Give your participants the taste of mental and physical conquest by simulating an ascent up Mount Everest. Target mode will allow users to test their endurance throughout the 44 mile, or 88,000 step, trek from the North Everest base camp to the summit and back.
